If you have exceptional talent and interpersonal skills, and meet the following description, please submit your resume using the link below.Role: Geospatial AnalystRole Summary: Support the further development and maintenance of a large geodatabase of points defined by longitude and latitude. Services will include the development of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) code to add data from partners to the database. Activities include working closely with representatives from individual partners to develop ETL code that will add their data to the database, sharing all ETL code through open-source.Candidates must be eligible for federal security clearance and proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.Essential Functions:Evaluate existing data and processes and develop action plans for further automationWork closely with stakeholders and partner subject matter experts (SME)Provide technical oversight and expertise for ETL developmentMaintenance of large geodatabasesIdentify and fix database issues proactivelySupport in the transformation of logical models into physical modelsEvaluate new data sources for inclusion into the systemContribute to data QA/QC, preprocessing, and reporting effortsProvide reviews and comments on processes, guidelines, standards, and blueprints in support of the data management programSupport data architecture design that maximizes use of data and components, including geospatial data architectureSupport development of business, technical, process, and operational data documentationAttend regular meetings to review work progress and schedulePresent findings/solutions clearly in person and/or writingProvide weekly reports to summarize completed/ongoing tasksCompetencies and Skills:Exceptional customer service orientationOutstanding written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work productively with a wide range of peopleComfortable working in fast paced environmentAbility to ask good questions to fully understand customer requirementsAble to translate technical concepts into layman’s termsAble to coordinate with program stakeholdersSelf-motivated, pro-active, and ability to multi-taskAbility to plan, organize and manage project schedules, tasks, and deliverablesAdept at queries, report writing and presenting findingsExperience Required:Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or relevant fieldDemonstrated experience capturing business requirements and documenting of business rulesKnowledge of SQL, Python, VBA, and/or other data processing technologiesExperience with technical requirements and database standardsStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyPreferred Experience:Addressing standardsExperience with ArcGIS Data Interoperability, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Access)Programming (SQL, Python, other data query and processing technologies)Work Environment:Washington DC, client siteWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
