Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (LMMFC) is seeking a highly motivated Applications Engineer to support advanced geospatial software systems. The position offers a diversity of tasks including software testing, quality assurance, process development, documentation and first line customer support.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn in a fast-paced, immersive environment, working within a small team. The position location is Greensboro, NC, with travel and transition opportunities to Denver, CO. Another possible location is Denver, CO.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Work as part of a team to develop, test, deploy and support enterprise geospatial software• Diagnose, solve and/or escalate customer support issues• Attend weekly technical interchange meetings in support of the program lead• Development, document and perform system test plans• Perform data processing as part of low-rate initial production (LRIP)• Develop, document and deliver customer trainingDesired Skills: DESIRED EXPERIENCE:• Customer support, training• Amazon Web Services (AWS), cloud architectures, Microsoft HPC• Scripting, software testing, technical documentationPERSONAL SKILLS:• Eagerness to learn • Excellent communication skills• Ability to complete assignments independently with minimal supervision• Strong focus on customer satisfaction and ownership of results Basic Qualifications: • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related• 3 years of software support, GIS, or related• Ability to obtain a secret clearance Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
