The qualified candidate will work on-site at Sacramento District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, CA. Primary duties and responsibilities will be to assist USACE's Property Acquisition team in the support of the geospatial program.
*Create map products to assist with organizational efforts
*Provide Tier 1 customer support to Real Estate Managers
*Write/co-write GIS Implementation plans, and SOPs
*Assist Real Estate Manager with training
*Provide weekly or monthly progress reports as required by the Government
*Provide progress reports to Project Manager as required
*Ability to pass government background check and obtain Common Access Card (CAC) is required
*Other duties as assigned
*Four year degree in GIS, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an advanced GIS Analyst role.
*Thorough knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS tools, and extensions. Python programming experience is a plus. Thorough understanding of Spatial Data Standards for Facilities Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE) feature classes, geospatial databases, Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), Meta Data and understanding of various data gathering techniques and principals such as LiDAR, digital ortho photography, surveying, GPS, etc.
*Must have excellent customer service skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to
1) Solve complex issues with minimal guidance
2) Coordinate and manage multiple projects and efforts in a fast paces environment a
3) Implement data collection and QA/QC methodology with multiple organizations.
