Using GIS to create maps and other displays for presentation and research purposes that reflect Hilcorp's and competitor's leasehold positions and infrastructure information.
Utilizing internal spatial databases to create customized maps. Responsibilities include loading and maintaining spatial data in an SDE environment.
Using GIS to publish and maintain ArcGIS Server Map Services.
Experience in creating and managing map or feature services in ArcGIS Server.
Using GIS to create and maintain web enabled mapping applications.
Working with third party surveying and mapping companies to create, capture and/or maintain spatial data essential to the company's exploration and production mapping efforts.
Research state, federal, and commercial web sites for supplemental base map data for use in preparing various maps.
Creating wall/presentation size maps using large format plotting equipment.
Updating base maps to ensure up to date and accurate information.
Provide training and technical support to GIS users.
Coordinate with GIS Personnel in other departments to ensure that company exploration and production maps have up to date and accurate data and follow Hilcorp Map standards.

Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
7 years minimum of progressively responsible GIS experience.
Working knowledge of ESRI Desktop and Server products is required.
Working knowledge of ArcGIS Server to include publishing and maintaining map, feature, and WMS services is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of Enterprise GeoDatabases to include loading and maintaining data is strongly preferred. Knowledge of Spatial views, stored procedures, and triggers is preferred.
Knowledge of web-based mapping and business intelligence applications is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of GPS technology, data collection and integration with GIS software.
Ability to read and use Jeffersonian Survey maps, Texas surveyed maps, and metes and bounds descriptions.
Demonstrated computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Ability to complete multiple tasks of differing priorities without close supervision.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work with and communicate effectively with internal contacts and external vendors and contractors.
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary team environments and independently.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Related experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in GIS or a closely related field.
