JOB DESCRIPTION

This is not your typical front end development/GIS job. We are a fortune 500 company, the largest commercial real estate firm in the world, and use location intelligence, specifically GIS, to drive smart real estate decisions for our clients. The backbone of our location intelligence solutions revolve around map focused, highly stylized, web applications which we deliver hundreds, every year. What we’re looking for is a hybrid Front End Developer / GIS Specialist (map focused developer with strong emphasis on python) with the ability to bridge the gap between graphical design, coding, and technical implementation, taking an active role on all sides. Candidates must be passionate to their discipline and be willing to push boundaries, create quickly on the fly, and learn new things outside their comfort zone. Extreme creativity and enthusiasm is a must. Loving maps is an absolute must.

Responsibilities

Updating current js web applications

Assisting and solving Location Intelligence staff with html, js, and css issues

Testing new apps

Building web mapping applications using html, js, and css

Modifying existing ArcGIS web apps with html and css

Researching new ArcGIS features

Designing, mockups, and flow diagrams

Skill set

Strong knowledge of html, css, and js

Knowing Vue js 2.0 is a plus

Knowledge of Amcharts, charts js.

Knowing google map js api is a plus

Knowing mapbox js api is a plus

Previously worked with ArcGIS JS Api 4.x and/or 3.x

Basic knowledge of Arcgis webapp products

Know basic design principles and guidelines

Ability to work quickly in a fast paced environment

Familiar with Adobe and MS suites

Willing to learn new tools

Strong problem solving skills

Experience creating application flow diagrams, mock ups and prototypes.

Basic application Ui/ux skills.
