GIS Developer
Our Insurance client is looking for a GIS Developer to join their team.
In this role:
GIS Developer is working as a member of the project team, to be responsible design and development of code, unit and integration testing.
Required Skills
5 years minimum of in-depth, hands-on knowledge of developing/supporting enterprise/desktop applications
5 years minimum working technical knowledge of ESRI libraries such as ArcObjects, WebADF, REST, SDE API. Extensive knowledge of ESRI Applications server products including but not limited to ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, geoprocessing tools, SDE database structures.
3 years of minimum experience handling GIS data and data loads
2 years minimum of hands on experience working in integrated development environments
Strong experience with SQL is required
String experience with Spatial SQL (Oracle, Netezza) is required
Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, coding methodologies, and software issue resolution techniques
Demonstrated experience with any technologies specific to the given functional area such as software as a service, web interfaces
Solid working knowledge of current industry standard coding and database technologies
Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle in particular execution, testing, deployment
Previous Experience in Reinsurance, Insurance or Financial Services
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
