Immediate opening for a Systems Engineer with a proven track record in systems engineering, technical program management, software development architectures and hardware. You will serve as a lead engineer and a liaison to coordinate the development of geospatial software solutions and products.
Work with multiple government and corporate teams to provide designs and requirements for the integration and use of products and services within existing and future systems.
Have a solid understanding of geospatial requirements and provide feedback on technical recommendations and decisions to government and corporate leadership.
Prototyping solutions and working with government and corporate development teams.
Discoveries and results will be provided to government and corporate leadership via briefs, requirements, and whitepapers.
5 years as a systems engineer for technical projects in a government customer environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of the software development process.
Experience with Agile development environments and methodologies.
Experience working with and administration of geospatial information systems (GIS.)
Strong understanding of the Open Geospatial Consortium standards (WMS, WMTS, WFS, WCS, WPS,
Knowledge of NGA raster and vector products and services.
Working knowledge of raster and vector file types (NITF, RPF, CADRG, ECRG, JPEG, JPEG2000,
GeoTiff, MrSid, DTED, LIDAR, Shape File, KML, GML, GeoJSON, GeoDatabase)
Working knowledge of Esri Products (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop)
Experience integrating a wide array of hardware and software technologies.
Must be organized, flexible and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
