The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of drafting, mapping and land surveying tasks as they pertain to tribal lands located within the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Responsibilities include performing the full range of manual and computer-aided drafting and graphics work, and independent project/ research work. This position is highly technical in nature and requires the ability to work independently and to manage projects and tasks with little or no supervision.
High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying Civil Engineering or related field, or college level course work in mathematics through geometry and mechanical drawing or drafting is preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of drafting or mapping experience (ABET is preferred); with prior experience using AutoDesk products is required.
Knowledge of a major Global Positioning System(GPS) hardware and software package (Trimble preferred) is required.
Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
Must demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must have the ability to travel to all Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
