The individual in this position will assist with environmental/engineering tasks for site investigation and remediation projects. Position responsibilities will support tasks for investigation and remediation projects associated with site cleanup, brownfields redevelopment, and other corrective-action based projects. Duties will include field work (logging soil borings, test pits, and monitoring wells), monitoring well installation and groundwater sampling, surface water and sediment sampling, contractor oversight, data management, environmental literature searches/reviews, and preparation of regulatory documents and technical reports.
This position will be located in our East Windsor, NJ office.
BS or BA (MS preferred), with a degree in geology, hydrogeology, geophysics, or related degree.
0-4 years' experience in environmental consulting.
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Access and database software preferred. GIS experience a plus.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform field work in rough terrain.
Willingness and ability to work in the field for extended periods.
Willingness to travel and ability to operate independently.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
40-hour OSHA training is a plus.
