Geospatial Jobs

A geospatial researches, assesses, integrates, manipulates, exploits, extracts, and analyzes digital data and imagery, both geospatial and research databases and various ancillary sources; leads effort toward integration of data relating to biodiversity with GIS and instruction, advice, and guidance. A geospatial completes data analysis and evaluation, geospatial data reformat and conversion, and photo interpretation. A geospatial performs application engineering development; processes digital imagery; customizes product generation; researches and gathers information; performs customer information analysis. A geospatial supports the research community with internal and external projects which may have analytical focus of functional, regional, or technical. A geospatial interacts with professional colleagues to communicate research mission, issues, and other geospatial requirements; serves as the central geospatial consultant on research related GIS issues. A geospatial performs special projects and other duties as assigned for the job. A geospatial tests, evaluates, and documents the results of various software applications, tools and/or process techniques. A geospatial assists the development and incorporation and/or adaptation of geospatial processes.
A bachelor of science degree in geography, GIS, engineering, computer science, or related field is required for geospatial jobs. Experience of at least 2 years is preferred for this job. Knowledge of biodiversity and integrating biological data of aquatic organisms is preferred for geospatial jobs. A geospatial must have ability to develop prediction and querying capabilities in model development.
